Qualitative Market Research Consultant

Location: Sydney or Melbourne; Hybrid; Full time.

The Primary Intelligence (PI) and Real World Evidence (RWE) Insights team brings together custom market research, behavioural science, healthcare consulting, and real‑world data to answer some of the industry’s most important questions. We’re looking for a Qualitative Market Research Consultant to join our growing team. This role is a unique opportunity for a market research professional who enjoys uncovering the "why" behind the "what" and translating insights into meaningful business impact.

What You'll Be Doing





- Contribute to the design and delivery of bespoke healthcare and consumer health research projects across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodologies
- Conduct and support in‑depth interviews, online communities, workshops, and focus groups with healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, consumers, and other key stakeholders
- Explore attitudes, beliefs, behaviours, unmet needs, treatment journeys, and decision‑making processes across a broad range of healthcare categories
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative findings to uncover actionable insights and strategic implications that drive business decisions
- Manage project timelines, fieldwork partners, stakeholder communications, and quality processes
- Contribute to proposal development and research approaches that address strategic client challenges
- Support the delivery of real‑world evidence and insights projects that combine primary research with healthcare data and evidence
- Develop impactful presentations, reports, and storylines for internal and client audiences
- Present findings internally and progressively take on client‑facing presentation opportunities
- Develop expertise across healthcare consulting, market research, behavioural science, and real‑world evidence
- Collaborate with senior consultants, associate principals, and subject matter experts on high‑profile healthcare projects
- Contribute to thought leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

- Strong qualitative research experience,



including conducting or moderating interviews and focus groups
- 3‑5 years of experience in a primary market research agency
- Experience contributing to quantitative and mixed‑methodology studies, including data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of findings
- Experience translating data into compelling insights and strategic recommendations
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication and storytelling skills
- Excellent project management and organisational capabilities
- A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and take ownership
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medtech, healthcare data, or real‑world evidence is highly regarded
- Valid working rights in Australia
