Job Description

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and securing enterprise and industrial network infrastructure across a diverse client base. Your contributions will span the full project lifecycle, from pre-sales and solution design through to deployment, optimisation, and ongoing support. You will work closely with Solution Architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes across a variety of industries and environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, stage, test, deploy, and support industrial and enterprise network solutions across design, build, commissioning, and operational phases.
n
- Architect and implement secure, highly available network infrastructures, including multi-site and multi-datacentre environments.
n
- Deliver advanced routing and switching solutions incorporating OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, WAN, redundant routing, and complex failover scenarios.
n
- Design and deploy next-generation security solutions with a strong focus on modern firewall, cloud security, and SD-WAN technologies.
n
- Implement and manage SD-WAN, VPN, and Zero Trust security models.
n
- Lead network migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects while ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
n
- Conduct network audits, performance assessments, and security reviews, providing actionable recommendations.
n
- Produce high-quality technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks.
n
- Support pre-sales activities including solution design, bill of materials (BOM) creation, and technical proposal development.
n
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
n




- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues across enterprise environments.

What You'll Need

- Be a highly capable Senior Network Engineer who can manage multiple projects autonomously while maintaining high quality standards.
n
- Bring strong technical expertise across enterprise networking, wireless, and security technologies.
n
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering secure, resilient network architectures across complex environments.
n
- Strong experience with enterprise security platforms, SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and Zero Trust principles.
n
- Proven ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation and design artefacts.
n
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes

n

- Deep expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including advanced routing and switching design.
n
- Strong experience with enterprise firewall and security platforms.
n
- Experience across multi-vendor environments including, Palo Alto, Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, Extreme Networks, and other enterprise networking technologies.
n
- Strong knowledge of wireless networking technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, 802.1X authentication, and site surveying.
n
- Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions and cloud-based network management platforms.
n
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex network environments.
n
- Understanding of Australian Standards and industry practices, particularly within Mining, Aviation, Local Government, and State Government sectors.

Certifications

Industry-recognised certifications across networking and security technologies are highly regarded, including certifications from Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper Networks.
