Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO to lead portfolio governance, planning and delivery across a complex and fast-moving technology and transformation environment.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can bring structure, visibility and commercial discipline to a significant portfolio of strategic initiatives while enabling delivery teams to move at pace.

n

The Role Reporting into senior technology leadership, you will take ownership of the PMO function and provide oversight across the organisation's technology and transformation portfolio. Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead and evolve the Project Management Office, establishing fit-for-purpose governance and delivery frameworks
n
- Provide oversight across a portfolio of complex technology, digital and transformation programs
n
- Own portfolio planning, prioritisation, sequencing and delivery reporting
n
- Partner with executives to ensure investment is aligned to business strategy and priorities
n
- Establish clear visibility across budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, issues and delivery milestones
n
- Lead portfolio financial management, forecasting and investment tracking
n
- Drive effective resource and capacity planning across internal teams, contractors and delivery partners
n
- Establish consistent project and program governance while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy
n
- Provide high-quality portfolio reporting and insights to executive stakeholders
n
- Identify delivery risks and dependencies early and drive appropriate intervention
n
- Support Project and Program Managers to improve delivery capability and accountability
n
- Manage and influence third-party vendors and strategic delivery partners
n
- Continuously improve PMO processes, tools,



methodologies and ways of working
n
- Build a high-performing PMO and portfolio delivery capability
n

About You

n

You will be an established PMO, Portfolio or Transformation leader who has operated across large and complex organisations.

n

You'll ideally bring:

n

n
- Significant experience leading an enterprise or technology PMO
n
- Strong technology and digital transformation portfolio experience
n
- Experience managing large, complex and concurrent programs of work
n
- Excellent portfolio governance, prioritisation and planning capability
n
- Strong financial management and commercial acumen
n
- Experience with resource planning and portfolio capacity management
n
- Strong understanding of project and program delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments
n
- Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners
n
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and challenge constructively
n
- Strong executive reporting and communication skills
n
- Experience building or transforming PMO functions and improving delivery maturity
n
- A pragmatic approach — able to introduce appropriate governance without slowing delivery
n

Experience within a large-scale consumer, retail, digital, eCommerce, hospitality or similarly high-volume workplace would be highly regarded.
