Maintenance Fitter / Technician Day Shift Wetherill Park Location

Source: uWorkin This is a hands-on role supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of critical plant equipment, If you're the right fit, this opportunity will become permanent., * Perform fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, and blowers

- Interpret mechanical drawings and manuals to carry out accurate maintenance
- Use of CMMS (preferably MEX) to manage maintenance tasks and records
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, particularly around chemicals, confined spaces, and moving machinery

About The Candidate

- Trade qualification: Mechanical engineering or maintenance fitter qualification together with relevant experience
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar trade background
- Strong hands-on experience with rotating equipment maintenance
- Exposure to preventative and predictive maintenance regimes
- Sound knowledge of safe work practices in industrial environments
- Competent using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting maintenance activities

Desirable

- Background in chemical processing or high-risk industrial environments
- Exposure to Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and CI methodologies
- Forklift Licence
- Basic welding skills (TIG, MIG, stick)
- Experience with shutdown/turnaround maintenance work
- Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and plant isolation procedures
