Supporting a large-scale mining operation, you will work within a collaborative maintenance team focused on improving asset reliability, performance and maintenance effectiveness across site operations.

Your new role

As a Maintenance Specialist, you will play a key role in driving equipment reliability, maintenance optimisation and defect elimination initiatives across the operation. Working closely with maintenance, operations and technical teams, you will support continuous improvement activities while ensuring maintenance strategies remain effective and aligned with business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include

- Lead defect elimination investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities
- Review equipment performance and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor condition monitoring results and implement strategy changes to mitigate emerging risks
- Support maintenance planning and work management processes within SAP
- Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance strategies and work plans
- Analyse work processes, master data and maintenance systems to identify efficiencies
- Develop recommendations to improve equipment safety, reliability and performance
- Build strong relationships across maintenance, operations and engineering teams
- Provide technical advice and support to maintenance execution personnel




- Contribute to the optimisation of maintenance strategies and asset management processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and reliability-focused projects across site

What you'll need to succeed

- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification or similar technical qualification
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, reliability or asset management roles
- Strong SAP experience and understanding of maintenance work management processes
- Knowledge of maintenance strategy development and optimisation
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and defect elimination activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Previous experience within mining, heavy industry or processing environments
- Knowledge of BMA systems, standards and processes will be highly regarded
- Ability to work a site-based Monday to Friday roster
