We're looking for our next Manager in Training to join our team at Rundle Mall. This is a structured development opportunity for current Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers and Department Managers who are ready to grow, from a smaller or lower-turnover store into leading larger teams, higher turnovers, and busier trading environments.

What's the Opportunity?

You already know how to run a store. This programme is about building on that experience and preparing you to lead at a higher-profile, fast-moving level.

You'll work closely with Store Managers, Area Managers and senior leaders, sharpening the skills and confidence needed to take on a high-volume, higher-turnover store. It's a structured pathway built on real-world experience, mentorship, and exposure to some of the best retail operators in the business.

You'll build on your ability to:

- Lead high-performing teams
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Drive sales, KPIs, and commercial outcomes
- Recruit, train, and develop future talent
- Execute world-class visual merchandising standards
- Manage operational excellence and inventory performance

What You'll Be Doing

Lead from the Front

Bring energy and consistency to a higher-volume store environment, where customers get an exceptional experience every visit. You'll build on your leadership style to inspire growing teams and drive a high-performing culture.





Grow Your Commercial Capability

Deepen your understanding of sales performance, conversion, ATV, UPT, wage management, profitability, and operations at greater scale, gaining exposure to the metrics that drive JD's busiest, highest-volume stores.

Build and Develop Great Teams

Take on a broader role in attracting, recruiting, onboarding, and developing the next generation of JD talent, coaching sizeable teams and shaping future leaders.

Sharpen Operational Excellence

Apply and refine company standards across visual merchandising, inventory management, loss prevention, compliance, and store operations, at the pace and scale of a larger-format site.

Accelerate Your Journey

Take part in structured development, mentorship, leadership training, and hands-on learning designed to prepare you to manage a more complex, higher-turnover store.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for current retail leaders who are ready to grow their team size, turnover, and pace, and build a long-term career with JD Sports.

You may currently be a:

- Store Manager of a smaller or lower-turnover store
- Assistant Store Manager ready for the next step
- Department Manager at a big box retailer ready to step into a high-energy fashion environment
