Hays are currently seeking experienced and qualified chefs for a variety of opportunities across the Townsville region, including FIFO/DIDO mine site positions and local hospitality and catering roles.

n

Your New Role

Depending on the position, your duties may include:

n

n
- Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting
n
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
n
- Menu preparation and stock control
n
- Working collaboratively with kitchen teams
n
- Catering for large volumes in mining village or commercial kitchen settings
n
- Ensuring all kitchen operations comply with workplace health and safety requirements
n

n

About the Candidate

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
n




- Previous experience as a Chef in hospitality, catering, mining, remote village, or similar environments
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
n
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- Current driver's licence preferred
n

Work Environment

For mine site positions, you must also be able to:

n

n
- Pass a pre-employment medical
n
- Pass a National Police Check
n
- Complete any required inductions prior to mobilisation
n
