n At Edge, our Area Managers are coaches, mentors and strategic partners to Centre Directors. If you're passionate about developing people, lifting quality and making a genuine impact across multiple communities, we'd love to hear from you.
n Reporting directly to the General Manager of Operations, you'll lead a portfolio of seven centres across the Sunshine Coast & Moreton Bay area while partnering with specialist Support Office teams including Property, Finance, Family Engagement, Marketing, Compliance, Program & Practice, HR and Recruitment.

With centres spread across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay, regular travel and being visible within your centres will be an important part of the role.

About the Role
n
As Area Manager, you'll create the conditions for your Centre Directors and their teams to succeed.
n
You'll:
n
n
- Coach and develop Centre Directors to become confident, capable and accountable leaders
n
- Build strong leadership teams and identify future talent and succession opportunities
n
- Drive quality improvement, child safety and Assessment & Rating readiness
n
- Support centres to achieve sustainable occupancy and commercial performance
n
- Use centre performance and operational insights to identify where support or intervention is needed
n
- Build positive relationships with educators, children, families and local communities
n
- Partner with Centre Directors through challenges including people leadership, performance, staffing and centre operations
n
- Work collaboratively with specialist Support Office teams to remove barriers and improve centre performance
n
- Partner with the General Manager of Operations on strategic and operational priorities
n
n

About You
n
You're an experienced multi-site operational leader who understands that your success comes through the success of the leaders you support.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated multi-site leadership experience, ideally within Early Childhood Education and Care
n
- A genuine coaching and mentoring mindset
n
- Strong experience developing leaders and building high-performing teams
n
- Sound understanding of quality, compliance and operational excellence
n
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with occupancy, staffing and financial performance
n
- The ability to adapt your leadership approach across different centres and leadership styles
n
- Confidence having constructive and sometimes challenging conversations
n
- A collaborative, authentic and values-led leadership style
n
- Robust organisational skills and the ability to prioritise across multiple services
n
- Relevant leadership experience and Early Childhood qualification/s.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- Working with Children Check / Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
n
- Ability to travel regularly across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay portfolio.
n
