Dortec Windows & Doors is a growing, close-knit business specialising in premium architectural aluminium windows and doors for high-end residential projects.

We are looking for an experienced fabricator who takes pride in their workmanship, has a strong eye for detail and wants to be part of a team where quality genuinely matters.

n

You don't necessarily need to have spent your entire career making windows and doors. If you have strong fabrication or manufacturing experience in aluminium, steel, architectural metalwork, glazing, shopfitting, cabinetry/joinery, boat building or a similar environment, we'd like to hear from you.

n

What matters most to us is that you can produce quality work, read drawings, solve problems and take ownership of the finished product.

About the role

n

As a key member of our manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for fabricating and assembling premium aluminium window and door systems.

n

You'll work on a variety of high-end architectural projects, including large-scale frames and oversized glazing systems where precision, quality and finish are critical.

n

The role will involve:

n

Fabricating and assembling aluminium window and door systems

n

Working from workshop drawings, specifications and measurements

n

Cutting, machining, assembling and finishing components accurately

n

Checking your own work and ensuring products meet our quality standards

n

Solving practical fabrication and assembly challenges

n

Working with larger architectural frames and glazing components

n





Working collaboratively with the rest of the manufacturing team

n

Taking ownership of the quality and accuracy of your work

n

AWS (Architectural Window Systems) experience is highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.

n

Has solid experience in fabrication, manufacturing or a closely related trade

Has excellent attention to detail and takes genuine pride in their work

n

Can read and interpret workshop drawings and specifications

n

Has good practical problem-solving skills

n

Can work accurately and efficiently without compromising quality

n

Takes responsibility for getting the job done properly

n

Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

n

Works well as part of a team

n

Is comfortable working with large and heavy components and can safely perform the physical requirements of the role

n

Experience that could be relevant

n

Your background may include:

n

Aluminium window and door fabrication

n

Cabinetry or joinery

n

Boat building

n

Automotive or other precision fabrication

n

Other high-quality manufacturing or assembly environments

n

Direct window and door experience is an advantage,



but we're more interested in the quality of your skills, workmanship and attitude.
