Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 + benefits

With a team comprising Master Mariners, Marine Engineers, Marine Surveyors and industry experts, we are recognised for providing professional, high-quality services across a broad range of maritime sectors.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking experienced Master Mariners and Class I Marine Engineers to join our team in various locations across Australia.

About the Role

In this diverse and hands-on position, you will work alongside experienced marine professionals conducting a wide range of marine surveys and inspections for our clients across Australia.

The role offers significant variety, professional autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to an expanding national business. Interstate and intrastate travel will be required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Marine surveying activities may include:

- Draft surveys
- Cargo hold inspections
- Vessel repair attendance and monitoring
- Cargo trimming inspections
- Oil and chemical tanker quantity surveys and sampling
- On-hire and off-hire bunker surveys
- Vessel condition surveys
- Flag State Inspections




- Quality and compliance inspections
- Container damage surveys
- Cargo sampling and analysis support

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

- Master Mariner (Class I) or Marine Engineer (Class I) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience sailing in the rank of Master or Chief Engineer
- Experience onboard bulk carriers and/or container vessels
- Robust knowledge of port operations, terminal activities and marine regulations
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to obtain or hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Desirable

- Previous marine surveying experience
- Experience conducting class surveys
- Knowledge of Australian maritime regulatory requirements
- Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills
