Marketing Manager

Sydney | 4–5 days per week | Based at Alexander House, Bondi Junction

About the role

Alexander &CO.; is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Sydney practice and take a leading role in the day to day delivery of our marketing. This is not a conventional corporate marketing role. It is a broad, hands-on position for someone with exceptional creative judgement, strong writing skills and an instinct for storytelling; someone who can recognise the stories worth telling and knows how to tell them.

Working closely with the Marketing Director, you will transform strategy into action across social media, videography, editorial and content, awards, website, brand implementation and marketing operations.

You might move from developing a content idea or writing copy for social media, to producing a short form video, coordinating an awards submission or managing the systems and deadlines behind our marketing program.

A significant part of the role is being curious about the work and people around you. You'll build relationships across the practice and uncover the projects, ideas, processes and moments that can become meaningful content.

We are looking for someone who enjoys both thinking and making - creative enough to contribute ideas and challenge our thinking and organised enough to make them happen.

What you'll do

- Lead the day-to-day operation and delivery of the marketing program
- Develop, write and edit content across digital, social, editorial and brand channels
- Plan, capture and produce engaging short-form video content
- Manage our social channels and content calendar
- Coordinate awards, editorial content, website updates and digital communications
- Manage multiple projects, collaborators, deadlines and deliverables concurrently
- Identify new stories and content opportunities from across the practice
- Build strong relationships with our architecture and interiors teams




- Help create and maintain the systems that keep a busy marketing department moving
- Contribute ideas to the ongoing evolution of the Alexander &CO.; brand

About you

You'll be a very strong writer with exceptional creative judgement and an instinct for storytelling. Ideally already working within architecture, interiors, design or a closely related creative industry, you'll understand the language, nuances and visual culture of design.

You'll also be

- Highly visually literate with a sophisticated design sensibility
- An independent thinker who is confident contributing ideas and opinions
- Curious, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Hands on with content creation, particularly short-form video
- Comfortable moving between creative thinking and operational delivery
- Interested in architecture, interiors, art, media, technology and broader culture
- Experienced across social platforms and digital content
- Familiar with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, CMS platforms, Google Analytics and basic SEO

Experience within architecture or interiors is highly regarded, but we are equally interested in candidates from other design led industries who can demonstrate the right creative judgement, writing ability and understanding of our world.

Alexander &CO.; is an integrated architecture and interior design practice based in Sydney. We work across residential, hospitality and commercial projects, with a focus on creating places with enduring relevance. Our marketing is an important part of how we communicate the thinking, people and processes behind our work. This role sits within the practice and works closely with our design teams, making curiosity, collaboration and genuine engagement with architecture and interiors essential.

The position is based at Alexander House, our Bondi Junction headquarters, and is designed as an in practice, cooperative role.

We envisage the position as four days per week, with the possibility of five days for the right person.
