An established and highly regarded organisation within the education sector is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead its content, digital, creative and organic growth function.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director and leading a multidisciplinary team, this is a broad senior marketing chance combining strategy, people leadership and hands-on commercial ownership across content, SEO, social media, website performance, creative and events.
About the Role
As the Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's content and organic growth strategy, ensuring its brand is consistently represented across digital and owned channels.
You will lead a team spanning content, SEO, social media, graphic design and video, while holding ultimate ownership of the website as a marketing and conversion channel.
Working closely with the Marketing Director and broader marketing leadership team, you will build an integrated content engine that grows brand awareness, increases organic traffic and engagement, and ultimately supports customer acquisition and growth.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys setting the strategy but remains close enough to execution to ensure ideas translate into high-quality commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across content, SEO, social media, design and video
- Own the overarching content strategy across website, social, email, blogs and video
- Take strategic ownership of the website, including performance, UX, CRO, content and ongoing optimisation
- Develop and execute the organic growth strategy across SEO, content and social channels
- Build a consistent and recognisable brand voice and creative presence across owned media
- Use analytics and channel performance data to identify opportunities and improve engagement and conversion
- Lead the planning and delivery of major marketing, recruitment and brand events
- Manage senior relationships with creative, content and production agencies and freelancers
- Oversee the creative production pipeline and ensure output is consistently high-quality and on-brand
- Partner with paid marketing specialists to connect paid and organic activity and deliver integrated campaigns
- Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and translate marketing performance into clear commercial insights
About You
You will be an experienced marketing leader who combines strong creative and brand judgement with a genuine understanding of digital, content and organic growth.
You will ideally bring
- Proven experience in a marketing, content or digital leadership position
- Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary marketing teams
- Strong website ownership experience,
including UX, CRO, content and performance optimisation
- A strong understanding of SEO and content-led organic growth
- Experience developing content strategies across social, digital, video and editorial channels
- Strong creative judgement and an eye for brand, messaging and visual quality
- Experience managing creative, content or production agencies
- An analytical mindset and ability to use data to inform marketing decisions
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leadership
Experience within education, consumer services or another brand-led environment would be highly regarded, although candidates from broader consumer-facing sectors are encouraged to apply.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to take on a highly visible leadership position with significant ownership across some of the organisation's most important customer-facing channels.
You will lead a specialist team while having the scope to shape content strategy, strengthen digital and organic performance, evolve the website and influence how the organisation presents its brand to market.
For a marketer who enjoys the intersection of brand, content, digital performance and people leadership, this represents an opportunity to make a tangible impact while working closely with an experienced executive marketing leader.
