Olympic Dam
CMTL Group is currently seeking 24 mechanically experienced personnel for an immediate mobilisation to a project at Olympic Dam, South Australia.
This is a solid opportunity for Mechanical Fitters, mechanical tradespeople and experienced mechanical personnel looking for a decent run of work, with the project currently expected to continue through to approximately late October.
DAY SHIFT – 12 POSITIONS
Working as part of the mechanical crew preparing piping systems for testing and returning systems back to specification following completion of tests.
Experience with the following will be highly regarded:
- Reading and interpreting mechanical/piping drawings and plans
- Setting up piping systems and lines for testing
- Flange management
- Correct torque procedures and torque values
- QA/QC checks
- Breaking and reinstating flanges/connections
- Mechanical punch-list and commissioning works
- General mechanical works around piping systems
Mechanical trade qualifications are highly regarded, however we are also interested in hearing from experienced, mechanically minded personnel with strong piping/mechanical backgrounds. NIGHT SHIFT – 12 POSITIONS The night-shift team will operate as 4 crews of 3, carrying out hydrostatic testing of piping systems.
Previous hydro-testing experience is highly desirable, particularly experience with:
- Reading and working from test packs
- Understanding test pressures and procedures
- Operating hydro/test pumps
- Identifying leaks and pressure loss
- Understanding what action to take when a system fails or leaks during testing
- Flange management and mechanical reinstatement
- Working safely around pressurised systems
We'd ideally like several experienced hydro-testing personnel across the crews, supported by robust mechanical tradespeople.
