At HARDI Australia, our engineers don't sit on the sidelines, they work closely with our products, the people who build them and the customers who use them. Through engineering concepts, prototype builds, product development and production support, you'll be involved in the full product lifecycle and see your work make it into the field.

We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Adelaide based engineering team and help develop the next generation of HARDI agricultural machinery. Working alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing teams, you'll be part of our new product development program and product improvement projects that deliver value to our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design and develop new products and systems for HARDI agricultural sprayers.
- Create 3D CAD models, drawings and engineering documentation to support your designs.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing and product validation activities
- Work closely with our production teams to improve products and deliver solutions to manufacturing challenges
- Participate in engineering projects from concept through to implementation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for our products and manufacturing operations

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You may an experienced design engineer seeking greater ownership and variety or you might still be early in your career and looking for broader engineering exposure. Our ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

- A degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering (or a related discipline)
- Experience in mechanical design or product development of machinery




- Strong 3D CAD skills (we use Creo)
- A solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a demonstrated ability to affect change
- The ability to understand the requirements of other operational departments and contribute to outcomes appropriately.

Experience working on engineering projects in the following fields would be highly regarded
- Agricultural machinery

- Automotive or heavy equipment

- Manufacturing environments

- Hydraulic systems
- Product continuous improvement and engineering led change activities
