Mechanical Fitter – Night or Day Shift Rosters

An established and reputable engineering firm is seeking experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join our team for an immediate start on a rostered role at a major meat processing facility.

This is initially a short-term project with the opportunity for ongoing employment for the right person.

Roster

- Day or Night Shift Rosters available

- 5/4, 5/5, 4/5 rotating roster

- 12-hour shifts

- Accommodation provided if required

The Role

As part of the night shift maintenance crew, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance activities across the facility to ensure plant reliability and operational efficiency.

Duties may include

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment

- Fault finding and mechanical repairs

- Equipment inspections and servicing

- Working safely within site procedures and maintenance schedules

- Liaising with supervisors and maintenance personnel to minimise downtime

Requirements

- Trade Qualified Fitter





- Minimum 2+ years of experience in meat processing facilities

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to workplace health and safety

- Current Driver's Licence

- White Card

- Ability to pass site medical and drug & alcohol testing requirements
