Assist with being the first point of contact for all visitors and clients to CRAICCHS at their Cherbourg, Wondai and Kingaroy facilities.

About CRAICCHS: Cherbourg Regional Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Service (CRAICCHS) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisation.
CRAICCHS objective is to provide access to holistic and client-centred quality primary health care and social and emotional wellbeing services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the South Burnett regions.
Key Duties:
The duties will be diverse, and although not limited to, will include:
- Respond to all clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Deliver high quality and culturally sensitive service.
- Open and close the reception area.
- Accurately schedule and manage client appointments for General Practitioners, Clinicians and Aboriginal Health Workers.
- Complete medical data entry with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all personal data and information.
- Provide administrative support for all reception activities.
- Work harmoniously with all members of the Primary Health Care team.
- Assist with other duties as required, to ensure the smooth functioning of the medical clinic.
Key Requirements: The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven competence with computer systems.
- Strong key board skills including speed and accuracy.
- Customer service skills with the willingness to support people.
- Sound communication skills with the ability to listen.
- Availability to work across all facilities in Cherbourg, Wondai and Kingaroy as required.
- The ability to effectively engage and sensitively communicate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability and those with diverse characteristics and life experiences.
- An understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- The ability to accept direction and work productively in a team workplace.
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or the ability to quickly acquire.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certs or the willingness to acquire.
- A current driver licence.
- Documentary evidence to verify either vaccination against or are not susceptible to any of the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases: Hepatitis B; Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (chickenpox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:
- Minimum Cert III in Business, Administration, Management or similarly related fields
- Relevant experience in a Medical Receptionist role.
- Identification as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
