About the role

We are looking for an experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is for someone who has a desire to help people, a friendly and approachable manner, and the ability to deliver the best possible care to our patients. Key responsibilities

- Welcome patients in a warm, professional and friendly manner
- Manage appointment bookings and diary coordination
- Respond to patient enquiries over the phone and in person
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and route calls
- Respond to and action emails and faxes
- Manage patient registration and maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and assist with various administrative tasks
- Handle billings and process payments
- Prepare consulting rooms and the clinic for the day
- Ensure the reception area is organised, professional and presentable at all times

About you





- A minimum of 12 months experience in General Practice Medical Reception
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong customer service focus and professional manner
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical practice software
- Experience using Best Practice, Cubiko or Medical Directory will be highly regarded
- Flexibility to work casual shifts and occasional evening or weekend work
- A friendly, empathetic and team-oriented approach
