Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Myotherapist or Remedial Massage Therapist based at Williamstown Health + Lifestyle in Williamstown, VIC. The therapist will provide high-quality, hands-on treatment for clients experiencing musculoskeletal pain, injury, or dysfunction, using a range of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, delivering remedial massage or myotherapy sessions, and documenting client progress in line with clinical standards. The role involves collaborating with other practitioners in the multidisciplinary team,



contributing to integrated care plans, and educating clients on self-management strategies, exercise, and lifestyle modifications. The therapist will also help support clinic operations by managing appointment times, maintaining a clean and safe treatment setting, and participating in occasional community or client engagement activities.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in Myotherapy or Remedial Massage (e.g., Diploma of Remedial Massage or Advanced Diploma/Degree in Myotherapy) and eligibility for professional association membership and provider numbers.
- Demonstrated skills in musculoskeletal assessment, clinical reasoning, and development of evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Proficiency in a range of manual therapy techniques, including remedial massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and corrective exercise prescription.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, explain treatment rationales clearly, and educate clients on injury prevention and self-care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to integrated care across services such as physiotherapy, osteopathy, and clinical Pilates.
- Good time management, documentation, and organisational skills, including maintaining accurate clinical notes and managing caseloads effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
