Representing UK NADG, the NADG Liaison Officer identifies and exploits opportunities for AUS/UK capability harmonisation and equipment cooperation, whilst fielding related RFIs to enable unilateral/bilateral capability/support enhancement. The role covers ADF equivalents to NAD, DES, Defence Support, and Defence Research & Evaluation Organisation (DSTL) across all domains. The post also supports wider Defence Exports and British High Commission.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary conduit between AUS and UK for partnered capability & acquisition activity within the AUMICE (Mil Cap Harmonisation & Eqpt Cooperation) MoU.
- Enable all domain capability/sustainability enhancement by identifying and exploiting opportunities to share information between NADG departments (primarily DES & DRE&O;) for mutually operated platforms/capability.
- Seek and enable opportunities for partnered capability development, engaging with UKDI and UK sS HQs as required.
- Identify and enable opportunities for Trails & Evaluation data sharing to enhance efficiency of capability delivery.
- Support UK and AUS opportunities for Defence Sales & Exports to enhance national capabilities, liaising with IC&E; Export & Sales as required.
- Enable engagement between UK sS HQ Programmes and Australian sS HQ capability managers as required.
- Represent NADG for engagement with ADF and Australian Defence industry as required.
- . Maintain national security, commercial and ITAR integrity for exchanges of information.
- Support delivery of Defence capability development, UK prosperity priorities and wider defence engagement as directed by the Defence Adviser.
