Role Description The Network Lead is a contract, on-site role based in Mascot, NSW, responsible for leading and managing network projects from planning through implementation and handover. The role coordinates project activities, resources, stakeholders, vendors, schedules, risks, and technical deliverables to ensure network solutions are delivered safely, securely, and in accordance with project requirements.
The Network Lead will oversee network design, implementation, upgrades, testing, migration, and commissioning activities across enterprise and operational environments. The role will manage technical dependencies, resolve delivery issues, monitor project progress, and maintain project documentation, including network architecture, implementation plans, test procedures, risks, and status reports.
The Network
Lead will provide technical direction to project team members, coordinate with OT cybersecurity and infrastructure teams, and ensure successful delivery of resilient, secure, and supportable network solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Networking and Network Administration skills, including managing switches, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
- Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including implementing secure configurations, access controls, and best practices to protect critical systems.
- Candidates should possess Network Design skills, with experience creating scalable, resilient architectures that support both IT and OT environments.
- Relevant experience in enterprise or industrial network environments, preferably supporting critical operations or converged IT/OT systems.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Mascot, NSW, manage priorities in a dynamic environment, and take accountability for outcomes.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent, and familiarity with ISO or similar quality standards are beneficial.
