About The Role
As a Network Optimisation Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our retail branch network through data-driven insights, research, and strategic recommendations. Working within the Network Optimisation team and senior leaders across Retail Network & Proprietary Banking, you'll support network planning, transformation initiatives, and operational decision-making to ensure our network continues to meet customer and business needs.
This role combines retail bank knowledge with stakeholder engagement, providing valuable market intelligence, research, and workforce planning insights that influence strategic outcomes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights to support network optimisation and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance the Network & Proprietary workforce model, ensuring effective resource planning and operational efficiency.
- Conduct market analysis, research, and performance assessments to identify optimisation opportunities across the branch network.
- Partner with key stakeholders to support network transformation and business improvement initiatives.
- Identify, implement, and promote process improvements, simplification opportunities, and automation solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations that support executive and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives and project delivery across network optimisation initiatives.
About You You are a commercially minded and curious professional with a strong understanding of retail banking and a passion for using research and data to drive better business outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative setting, enjoy solving complex problems, and can confidently translate insights into meaningful recommendations that influence strategic decision-making. - Strong knowledge of retail banking best practice, including branch performance, marketing, operations, and financial management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to analyse, evaluate,
and interpret performance data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop practical solutions.
- Well-developed critical thinking skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience working with data, reporting, and performance analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of BOQ systems and data sources will be highly regarded.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process simplification, efficiency, and automation.
