Network Engineer (OT/Industrial Networks) | Perth, WA | 12 Month Contract

Akkodis is seeking two experienced Network Engineers to join a major project supporting critical mining operations across Perth. The successful candidates will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure projects, working closely with client stakeholders, vendors, and security teams. The role requires strong Operational Technology (OT) networking experience and the ability to work independently in a mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

- - Demonstrated experience in network engineering, cyber security engineering or IT/OT security roles.
- Strong technical capability across enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, monitoring and security operations.
- Supporting segmentation, secure remote access, firewall policy management, routing, switching, VPNs and operational technology connectivity.
- Design and implement SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and industrial networking systems.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- PLC and automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Emerson, Mitsubishi, or similar)
- SCADA and HMI systems
- Industrial Ethernet and OT networking




- Assess readiness ahead of network segmentation and migration.
- Identify fibre, cabling, switching and infrastructure requirements.
- Identify and address legacy network infrastructure.

- Cisco networking
- Cisco Stratix industrial switches
- VLANs and network segmentation
- OT / industrial networking

Highly Desirable

- Previous experience within Mining, Resources, or Industrial Operations environments.
- Experience supporting remote operations and site-based network deployments.
- Exposure to OT/IT integration projects and industrial network environments.

Location & Travel ? Perth, WA (Primary Location)

✈️ Frequent travel to site operations as required.

Contract Duration

? Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.
