We are seeking experienced Nitrogen Process Technicians with a strong background in nitrogen process operations, including the operation of Nitrogen Membrane Units, High-Pressure Air Compressors, and Dryers, to support a major LNG shutdown project in Western Australia.

About the Role
As a Nitrogen Process Technician, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient execution of nitrogen purging operations during a major LNG plant shutdown. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of nitrogen generation equipment while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor Nitrogen Generation Units, High-Pressure Air Compressors, Dryers, and associated process equipment.
- Carry out nitrogen purging activities in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
- Complete operational activities under the direction of the Project Engineer and Supervisor.
- Monitor equipment performance and process parameters to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Generate and maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE)
requirements.
- Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across all work areas.
- Support the successful delivery of shutdown activities while meeting project schedules and objectives.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience operating Nitrogen Membrane Units, HP Air Compressors, Dryers, and associated nitrogen process equipment.
- Proven shutdown and/or LNG plant experience.
- Strong understanding of nitrogen purging processes and associated safety requirements.
- Ability to follow operational procedures and work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shutdown workplace and meet project deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications & Tickets
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Confined Space Entry.
- Working at Heights.
- Gas Testing Atmospheres.
- High Risk Work Licence (advantageous).
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Relevant mechanical, process operations, or technical trade qualification.
