About the Role
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse passionate about empowering teams, driving clinical excellence, and shaping the future of aged care?
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator to join our team 2 days per week. In this vital role, you will lead staff development, foster a culture of continuous learning, and ensure our clinical team delivers high-quality, safe, and compassionate care that aligns with national safety standards.
What You’ll Do
● Design & Deliver Training: Build and run practical, evidence-based education programs tailored to residential aged care (e.g., wound care, medication safety, infection control, and dementia care).
● Verify Practical Skills: Conduct hands-on competency testing and skill verifications across our RN, EN, and PCA teams.
● Mentor & Coach Staff: Provide floor-based mentoring and bedside guidance to build team confidence and clinical capability.
● Support Quality Standards: Collaborate with clinical leadership to meet national aged care safety standards, audit requirements, and continuous quality improvement goals.
What We’re Looking For
● RN Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (or equivalent national nursing board).
● Aged Care Expertise: Solid clinical background in residential aged care environments.
● Educator Mindset: Demonstrated experience designing adult learning modules, running in-services, and evaluating training outcomes.
● Assessment Experience: Proven ability to assess and sign off on core clinical competencies.
● Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of aged care accreditation frameworks and clinical governance.
● Desirable: Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or post-grad education qualifications.
