Nursery Hand - Propagation Team

Lots-A-Colour is a well-established family-run wholesale production nursery based in Canoelands. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Hand - Propagation Team member to join our team.

About the Role

This position involves working within our propagation team, assiting with the production of seedlings and young plants in a fast paced wholesale nursery environment.

Responsibilities

- Plant propagation and seeding
- Preparing potting media
- Operating and maintaining seeding machines
- Maintaining production levels and meeting daily targets
- Recording propagation and seeding information accurately
- Maintain a clean and hygienic propagation area
- Selecting and taking cuttings from mother stock and assisting with stock garden maintenance
- Caring for seedlings, including watering, fertilising, blocking and monitoring temperature and humidity

Essential Criteria





- Propagation and Horticulture qualifications desirable but not essential
- Available to work 3 days per week; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30am and 4:00pm
- Physically fit and able to carry trays, push seedling trolleys and benches
- Responsible, self motivated and able to show initiative
- Able to work quickly and efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence and own transport are essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

Location Lots-A-Colour Nursery is located in Canoelands (near Glenorie). Applicants must have reliable transport as there is no public transport available.
