Are you a final‑year Podiatry student looking to gain hands‑on experience in a leading High Risk Foot Service?

About the Role

We are seeking a final‑year Podiatry student to join our High Risk Foot Service as an Allied Health Trainee (employed under the Allied Health Assistant Award). Casual and part‑time positions are available.

Working with a diverse range of patients, no two days will be the same. You will work alongside our talented and supportive Podiatrists, as well as the wider interdisciplinary team, gaining valuable experience in the management of complex high‑risk foot conditions. In this role, you will support the delivery of high‑quality patient care under direct supervision, including:

- Assisting with the provision of high‑risk foot care




- Applying and fitting offloading devices
- Assisting with wound dressings and other clinical interventions
- Completing a range of administrative and service support tasks
- Involvement in research and quality assurance activities

This is an exceptional opportunity to consolidate your undergraduate learning, gain hands‑on clinical experience, develop your skills in a specialised area of podiatry, and build a strong foundation for your future career within a nationally recognised Centre of Excellence.

About Us

Monash Health High Risk Foot Service provides best practice inpatient and outpatient care for patients with diabetes and complex limb threatening complications. The aim of the service is to provide evidence based, best practice care to patients with complex diabetes related (and other high risk) foot complications with a focus on reducing hospital admissions, minimising length of stay and reducing the rates of major amputation. The service in jointly run by Podiatry, Vascular (including Interventional Radiology), Orthopaedics, Diabetes with input from Infectious Diseases. In 2024, Monash Health was awarded with a National Association Diabetes Centres High Risk Foot Service Centre of Excellence. You will be part of the wider Monash Health Podiatry service, with access to all the benefits that offers: professional development, supervision, and broad clinical experience.
