Oracle Consultant - 6 Month Contract Location: Canberra, ACT Contract: Until 31 March 2027

Clearance: Must hold an active NV1 Security Clearance

About The Role We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join a Canberra-based team supporting critical government systems.

You will be responsible for the administration, performance, availability and support of Oracle database environments, with Oracle Middleware experience highly desirable. Oracle/WebLogic and Fusion Middleware environments commonly operate closely with Oracle databases, making this combined skillset particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Oracle database environments.
- Perform database monitoring, tuning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Manage backup, recovery, patching and upgrades.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery activities.
- Diagnose and resolve database and application issues.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure and development teams.
- Support Oracle Middleware/WebLogic environments and integrations.




- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

- Strong commercial experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Hands-on Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with backup/recovery, RMAN and Data Guard.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
- Oracle Middleware / WebLogic experience highly desirable.
- Experience supporting enterprise or government environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory (NV2 is a Bonus) This is a solid opportunity for an Oracle DBA with Middleware/WebLogic experience looking for a Canberra-based
