Accepting candidates looking for Permanent part-time role: 2-3 days per week. 24-36 Hours / week.
The successful applicant would perform overnight adult sleep investigations on a regular night-shift roster starting two-three nights per week (6:30pm - 6:30am).
Details
Sleep study set-up
- Ensure rooms are set up upon arrival.
- Greet patients as they arrive.
- Take biometrics of patients including blood pressure, height, weight, resting Sp02. Document all biometrics and scan forms prior to leaving shift.
- Explain to each patient the procedure for the sleep study, training will be provided.
- Set-up testing equipment and software
- Apply electrodes and sensors to patients body/skin according AASM standards.
- Calibrate the testing equipment and troubleshoot if necessary.
- Perform CPAP mask fitting on patients doing overnight CPAP studies.
- Continuously monitor study-tracing overnight on computer screens and make appropriate adjustments to correct poor signals during the night as/if they occur.
- Wake and greet patients morning after the overnight study to discharge from the clinic.
Skills
- Very sound computer software skill is a MUST.
- Attention to detail and procedure is imperative.
- General cleaning and tidying of the clinic end of shift required, including changing sheets.
Minimum Requirements - Current CPR certification-
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Work and/or education in the health industry.
