Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to undertake surface preparation, painting and finishing work across residential and commercial projects in Brisbane, with occasional regional travel. "While the majority of our daily work is based locally in Brisbane and South East Queensland. Our primary contractor manages projects throughout all of Queensland. As a result, this role requires occasional travel to regional sites, typically around three times per year."

- Set up ladders and protective coverings to provide safe access and prevent paint or other materials from affecting surrounding areas.

- Remove old paint and other surface coverings, repair minor defects, fill cracks and holes, sand surfaces and apply primers or sealers as required.

- Mix paints, primers, stains and other coating materials to achieve the required colours, consistency and finish.

- Coat interior and exterior surfaces with paint, varnish, stains and protective finishes using brushes,



rollers and spray equipment.

- Undertake minor repairs to timber surfaces and window frames, walls, ceilings, including minor setting where required.

- Maintain painting equipment and work areas by cleaning brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other tools, and safely storing materials after completing each job.

Essential Skills and Experience

- AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating, or an equivalent relevant qualification.

- At least one (1) year of relevant full time experience as a Painter.

- Practical knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including safe work at heights.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $89,000.00 per year
