About the role

We are seeking an experienced Patisserie Chef to prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of patisserie items, cakes, cookies, and specialty desserts daily from scratch. You will maintain high standards of taste, texture, and visual presentation for all cabinet items and custom orders, manage daily prep lists and stock rotation, and collaborate with management to introduce recent seasonal items and dietary-specific options.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of patisserie items, cakes, cookies, and specialty desserts daily from scratch

- Maintain high standards of taste, texture, and visual presentation for all cabinet items and custom orders

- Manage daily prep lists, handle stock rotation, and maintain par levels to minimize food waste

- Collaborate with management to introduce new seasonal items, specialty sweets,



and dietary-specific options (e.g., gluten-free, vegan)

- Adhere strictly to council food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines in a fast-paced environment

About you

- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working as a Patisserie Chef, Baker, or in a high-volume cake/bakery production role

- Strong foundational knowledge of baking techniques, pastry work, cake decorating, and scaling recipes

- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work efficiently during early morning shifts
- An eye for detail and a genuine passion for presentation and flavor combinations
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate smoothly with both front-of-house and kitchen staff
