This global pharmaceutical company is committed to putting patients and innovation at the heart of everything they do. With a strong focus on improving patient outcomes, they are continuing to build a culture where the patient voice is meaningfully integrated into how the organisation operates.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Patient Affairs function and play a key role in developing and delivering the local Patient Affairs strategy. You will build trusted, ethical partnerships with patients, caregivers and patient advocacy organisations.

Working across Medical, Market Access, Commercial, and Corporate functions, you will have the opportunity to influence strategy, champion patient perspectives and drive meaningful patient-focused initiatives.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Developing and maintaining long-term, ethical and compliant relationships with patients, caregivers and patient advocacy organisations
- Facilitating patient advisory boards, co-creation workshops, listening programs and other engagement initiatives
- Developing and implementing the local Patient Affairs strategy in alignment with regional and global priorities
- Leading patient-focused projects that address identified patient needs and measuring their impact
- Partnering with patient groups to identify opportunities for collaboration across relevant therapeutic areas
- Supporting the development of a strong patient-centric culture across the organisation

- Ensuring all patient engagement activities are conducted in line with company policies and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct

The successful candidate will have:

- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, patient organisations, Patient Affairs, Patient Advocacy or a closely related function
- Demonstrated experience working directly with patients and/or patient advocacy organisations
- Robust stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills
- High emotional intelligence and genuine empathy for patients and caregivers
- Strong project management skills with the ability to take initiatives from strategy through to execution
- Medicines Australia Code of Conduct CEP certification

Most importantly, you will be passionate about putting the patient voice at the centre of healthcare. This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional pharmaceutical functions and directly influence how patient needs, lived experiences and insights shape strategy and decision-making across the organisation. You will join a collaborative setting where your ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and turn patient insights into meaningful action will have a genuine impact on patients and their families.
