- We are partnering with a global financial services organisation seeking an experienced Program Director to provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of major Australian client programs.
n
- This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing approximately five significant client portfolios/programs simultaneously, each containing complex business, technology and operational delivery.
n
- The role requires someone who understands complex financial services delivery, can challenge experienced Program and Delivery Leads, and is equally comfortable operating with senior internal executives and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

n

- Provide strategic oversight across approximately five major client programs and portfolios.
n
- Work closely with individual Program Directors and Delivery Leads to ensure programs remain aligned to agreed outcomes, milestones and client commitments.
n
- Maintain a consolidated view of delivery health, risks, dependencies, resources and priorities across the portfolio.
n




- Identify issues that cut across individual programs and intervene where additional leadership or escalation is required.
n
- Challenge delivery teams constructively and ensure appropriate action is taken when programs begin to move off track.
n
- Support Program Directors with major escalations, client challenges and critical delivery decisions.

Experience

n

n
- Extensive experience as a Program Director, Portfolio Director, Head of Programs or senior Delivery Executive.
n
- Experience working within an Investment, Superannuation and/or Wealth Management environment.
n
- Proven experience overseeing multiple large-scale programs concurrently.
n
- Deep understanding of complex, multi-year financial services transformation programs.
n
- Robust portfolio governance, risk, dependency and financial management capability.
n
- Experience managing and influencing senior Program Directors and Delivery Leads.
n
- Strong executive and client-facing stakeholder management capability.
n
- The ability to quickly identify where a program is genuinely struggling and determine the appropriate intervention.
