About the role
This is a diverse management position with an equal focus on People & Culture/HR and Quality & Compliance. You will work closely with the Directors, Care Manager and Operations Manager to support our people while ensuring the organisation continues to meet its regulatory, quality and governance responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
People, Culture & HR – 50%
- Supporting and strengthening positive workplace culture
- Being an approachable and trusted point of support for the care team
- Supporting staff through difficult or emotional situations associated with their work
- Providing opportunities for appropriate debriefing and follow-up when staff have experienced challenging situations
- Promoting staff wellbeing, open communication and a culture where asking for support is encouraged
- Working closely with managers to identify staff who may require additional support
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers
- Recruitment, selection and onboarding
- Employment contracts and HR documentation
- Probation and performance review processes
Quality & Compliance – 50%
- Supporting compliance across Aged Care and NDIS services
- Maintaining compliance calendars, registers and records
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures
- Coordinating internal compliance reviews and audits
- Preparing for external audits and regulatory reviews
- Monitoring incidents, complaints, feedback and corrective actions
- Maintaining continuous improvement processes
- WHS and organisational risk management
- Monitoring regulatory and legislative changes
- Ensuring changes to standards and requirements are implemented within the business
About you
- Experience across HR, People & Culture, quality, compliance or governance
- Solid knowledge of contemporary HR practices
- Experience supporting managers and employees through workplace matters
- A genuine interest in employee wellbeing and workplace culture
- Experience maintaining quality or compliance systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to interpret legislation, standards and organisational requirements and turn them into practical processes
