This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying busy, dealing with customers and taking responsibility for getting things done. You don't need to be a mechanic or tradesperson, but you do need to be handy and comfortable using basic tools.
Key responsibilities
- Looking after customers and helping when required
- Keeping the car wash clean, safe and well presented
- Checking that equipment is operating correctly
- Finding and fixing basic faults where possible
- Carrying out easy repairs and maintenance
- Reporting larger equipment problems when they occur
- Completing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Checking stock and letting us know when supplies are getting low
- Completing a short end-of-shift report
About you
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Practical and handy with basic tools
- Able to problem-solve and use common sense
- Willing to learn how our car wash equipment works
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Able to lift up to approximately 25 kg when required
- Reliable personal transport
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical
- A positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility
