Our client is a growing, client-focused personal injury firm working from genuinely impressive modern offices in Parramatta. They need a Personal Injury Lawyer to join their Workers Compensation team, managing a caseload of matters through the Personal Injury Commission while working closely with senior practitioners to build litigation and advocacy skills.

About the Role

You will manage a caseload of workers compensation matters from instruction through to resolution, working closely with senior practitioners to develop your advocacy skills.

- Manage workers compensation files from inception through to resolution
- Draft submissions, witness statements, applications and settlement documentation
- Prepare matters for conferences, mediations, conciliations and hearings
- Appear before the Personal Injury Commission and participate in settlement negotiations
- Build direct client relationships, managing expectations through a difficult process for them




- Work alongside accredited personal injury specialists within the practice

What You'll Bring

- 3 + years PAE in personal injury law, ideally with workers compensation exposure
- Current unrestricted NSW practising certificate
- Working knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and Personal Injury Commission procedure
- Confidence appearing before the Personal Injury Commission
- Familiarity with legal practice management software such as Smokeball
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
