? About the Role – Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1

As a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1, you’ll play a valued role within the Tamworth Hospital Pharmacy Department, working across wards and clinical units on campus while also supporting pharmacy services across our rural hospitals. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills within a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.

? Support the delivery of pharmacy services by working alongside Pharmacy Technicians, Assistants and Pharmacists to dispense and supply medications and maintain effective stock management.

? Be an integral part of the team, providing valuable support to Pharmacists and contributing to the smooth delivery of clinical pharmacy services.

? Enjoy variety and flexibility, with opportunities to cover planned leave and provide additional support when unexpected staff absences arise.

? Grow your knowledge and confidence through regular education sessions, comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing support from experienced colleagues.

? Invest in your future, with opportunities to pursue external vocational training, including a Certificate IV in Hospital and Health System Pharmacy Services, with scholarships available from time to time.

Nestled in the heart of the New England North West, Tamworth Hospital is a major referral hospital and an integral part of the Hunter New England Local Health District. You’ll join a close-knit and dedicated Pharmacy Department that takes pride in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to Tamworth Hospital and supporting smaller hospitals throughout the region.

? Enjoy a supportive Monday - Friday workplace, with the Pharmacy Department operating from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding public holidays — offering a great balance between rewarding work and lifestyle.
