We're looking for a physiotherapist who wants real autonomy over their caseload and a genuine say in how their week looks – not another set of KPIs inside someone else's system. We are open to both a full-time or part-time working arrangement.
The role
You'll independently manage your own caseload of home and community-based neurological rehabilitation clients across Canberra. That means:
- Full clinical ownership – assessment through to goal-setting and discharge with a varied neurological population, using an ICF-informed, person-centred approach
- Working directly alongside an APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist with a passion for mentoring – real clinical conversation, not corporate hierarchy
- Setting and tracking functional goals collaboratively with clients, and working in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary allied health teams to achieve the best outcomes for clients
- Writing clear, well-evidenced reports that support clients’ access to funding and insurance-based support
- Being one of the first clinicians to join a growing practice, and get the prospect to have real input into its growth and how it's run
Your time is actually yours
- Home-visit scheduling you help shape – no fixed 9-to-5 office roster.
- 4 weeks' annual leave, paid at your normal base rate plus 25% loading. We want you to take proper time off without it costing you.
- Full-pay personal/sick leave so there’s no financial reason to push through a day you shouldn't be working.
- No weekends, no on-call (unless you want to).
What you'll actually earn
- Most ads say "competitive salary" and leave you wanting more. That’s not how we work.
- A guaranteed weekly base, plus uncapped commission on everything you bill above a threshold – the more you build your caseload, the more of it you keep.
- The exact split is set based on your experience. This is a conversation, not a fixed offer because we’re realistic and won’t pretend one number fits everyone.
- An investment in your future with 15% superannuation paid each pay cycle and a $2000 annual professional development budget.
- As a guide, physios in this structure seeing around 20 to 25 hours per week of clients could land a total package (including super) of roughly $120,000–$150,000/year based on years of experience.
- And it doesn't quietly shrink the moment you take a break - annual leave is paid at base plus loading, sick leave at full base.
What you'll bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
- A minimum of a couple of years' post-graduate experience, including time spent actually managing your own caseload
- Genuine working experience in neurological rehabilitation and a passion for further developing your skills in this area of practice
- A driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Current Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) registration, including NDIS Worker Screening clearance
