Picker Packer – Steel Profile Cut Plates

Location: Smeaton Grange, NSW

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Picker Packer to join our steel processing and distribution team.

About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for picking, stacking and packing steel profile-cut plates after they are processed through our profile cutting machines.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely remove profile-cut steel plates from the cutting machine bed.
- Use an overhead crane to lift and position steel plates.
- Stack and organise plates neatly onto pallets.
- Check quantities and job identification before packing.
- Ensure finished jobs are correctly prepared for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Assist the production team with general workshop duties when required.

Skills & Requirements

- Current Forklift Licence – essential.
- Experience working with steel,



metal or a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Experience using an overhead crane is preferred.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling steel products.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in picking, packing or steel distribution will be highly regarded.
