About the role

Working alongside experienced Piling Rig Operators, Supervisors and site crews, you will provide hands-on support across daily piling operations. You will assist with equipment setup, materials, tooling and general piling activities while learning the skills and processes required to work safely and effectively around piling equipment.

This is a physically demanding role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes direction well and wants to develop their skills within a specialist civil construction environment.

Key responsibilities

- Assist Piling Rig Operators with daily piling operations
- Handle piling tools, equipment, casing and construction materials
- Assist with the mobilisation, positioning and pack-down of piling equipment
- Support rig setup and general site preparation
- Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas
- Participate in daily pre-starts and follow site safety procedures
- Follow direction from Operators, Supervisors and Engineers
- Operate an 8T excavator for site clean-up and material handling when competent and authorised
- Assist with general civil construction duties as required

About you We are looking for someone who is reliable, physically capable and keen to develop a career in piling and civil construction.

- Previous experience in civil construction, piling, earthworks or heavy construction highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Interest in developing specialist piling skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow direction
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- Reliable and adaptable, with the ability to work a DIDO roster
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Australian working rights
- Current Construction White Card
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
- Excavator Statement of Attainment (SOA)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Willingness to work a 3:1 DIDO roster
