About The Role

n

An established Canberra bookkeeping practice is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to own a portfolio weighted towards not-for-profit and NDIS provider clients. This firm works across all industries with a focus on the NFP & NDIS sectors so experience in these areas will be highly regarded.

What You Will Be Doing

n

n
- Managing end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of NFP and NDIS provider clients
n
- Using project costing to separate funding streams and preparing grant acquittal reports
n
- Preparing accounts payable with multi-approval processes for improved governance
n
- Assisting clients with annual budgets and monthly reporting against budget for management and Boards
n
- Preparing working papers and liaising with auditors ahead of annual audits
n
- Managing payroll, including SCHADS Award considerations where relevant to NDIS clients
n
- Mentoring or reviewing work from more junior bookkeeping staff as needed
n

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- Prior experience bookkeeping for not-for-profit organisations, ideally including NDIS registered providers
n




- Strong understanding of fund accounting, grant acquittals and compliance reporting requirements
n
- Certified or highly experienced across Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks Online
n
- Confidence managing a client portfolio with minimal oversight
n
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable explaining financial concepts to non-finance Board members and managers
n
- Outstanding mentoring from a director who genuinely cares about her staff
n
