About the role

This part time role covers pre-operative preparation through to post-operative follow-up, getting patients ready for theatre, collating the results and paperwork that need to be in place before their procedure, and post operative reviews. The role will also include providing leave coverage for our Practice Manager, helping maintain continuity of patient care and practice operations. You will be provided online and face to face training.

Key responsibilities

- Complete pre-operative paperwork and pre-admission screening ahead of each list
- Source pathology, imaging and specialist documentation, and compile a comprehensive anaesthetic preoperative review
- Call patients post-operatively to check on their recovery and flag any concerns




- Step in during Practice Manager leave, using Meditrust for case management (full training provided — no prior experience needed)

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Perioperative, surgical, pre-admission or day-procedure nursing experience
- A confident phone manner and sharp attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling clinical and administrative tasks in a small, close-knit practice
