Preschool Room Lead Educator – Diploma Qualified

Golden Wattle Early Education | Ultimo, NSW | Full-Time Golden Wattle Early Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Room Lead Educator to lead our 3–5-year-old learning environment.

This position is ideal for a confident and capable educator who understands preschool children, can lead a team effectively, and is committed to creating a safe, engaging and well-organised room.

About the role

As the Preschool Room Lead Educator, you will:

- Lead the daily operation, routines and transitions of the preschool room
- Guide and support educators to maintain consistent, high-quality practices
- Plan and implement an engaging, play-based educational program aligned with the EYLF
- Support children’s school readiness, independence and social-emotional development
- Ensure documentation, observations and learning experiences are meaningful and current
- Build warm, professional relationships with children and families
- Maintain strong supervision, health, safety and child-protection practices
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Director, Educational Leader and leadership team
- Support continuous improvement and preparation for assessment and rating

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:
- An approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent
- At least five years' experience working with children aged 3-5, including substantial experience as a Room Leader
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standard and relevant regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead,



coach and hold a room team accountable
- Excellent programming, documentation and time-management skills
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Current Child Protection and Safety training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full Australian working rights
