We are looking for an experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to join our client, a large commercial organisation and provide technical leadership across a multi-cloud environment. This is a excellent opportunity to shape their cloud infrastructure and drive operational excellence across their Azure and AWS platforms.

- Based in Brisbane with 50% WFH
- Cybersecurity or Cloud networking experience is required
About this position: As the Principal Cloud Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across cloud platforms, designing scalable and secure solutions that span Azure and AWS while leading the team and driving best practice across the company.
Key responsibilities:
- Design cross-cloud solutions spanning Azure and AWS, ensuring consistency in identity, networking, security, and operational patterns.
- Embed security, governance, and compliance practices across, Azure, Kubernetes, and AWS workloads.
- Engineer and maintain the Azure platform model, covering authentication, identity, access, and networking.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure using operational tooling and monitoring frameworks.
- Own incident resolution and root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement across multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines and reusable operational workflows.
- Drive modernisation of cloud workloads, improving efficiency, scalability, and disaster recovery.
- Define and enforce platform standards for security and architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring, creating reference architectures and operational playbooks.
