This advisory role has responsibility for providing expert technical and commercial input for CAPEX and OPEX assessments across a portfolio of gas transmission and distribution assets in the Eastern region. The remit spans engineering, project proposals, operations and maintenance of assets applying a risk-based approach to assurance and integrity, ensuring optimised commercial outcomes are delivered for the market.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice on the technical and economic regulation of gas network services;
- Validation of assumptions and methodologies used to derive cost estimates for forecast expenditures and where applicable, amortisation schedules;
- Assurance that proposed project submissions meet the requirements and obligations of the National Gas Rules;
- Review of historical performance of CAPEX delivery and submissions against industry NORMs to garner lessons learned and mitigate risks.
Background and requirements:
- Background of deep technical and/or project delivery experience in pipeline engineering;
- Recent gas pipelines industry experience in Australia’s eastern region, in an advisory, management, or operations & maintenance leadership position;
- Commercial understanding of CAPEX and OPEX submissions as relates to tariffs pursuant to the National Gas Rules.
