Production Manager

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining, Engineering, Production Management, or related technical field
- Blasting Certificate and/or Surface Mining Qualification will be advantageous
- Computer Literate - MS Office with advanced Excel experience mandatory
- Transparent criminal record
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in quarrying, mining, crushing and screening, or aggregate production.

- Minimum 3 years' management experience within a production environment.
- Proven experience managing production teams, mobile equipment, and fixed plant operations
- Experience with budget management and cost control
- Strong leadership and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Problem-solving and conflict management
- Results driven with a strong focus on operational excellence
- Safety leadership and risk management
- Planning, organizing, and execution skills
- High level of accountability and integrity

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

- Manage and optimise quarry production operations to achieve production and sales targets
- Lead and coordinate supervisors,



operators, and production teams to ensure high performance and productivity
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) requirements
- Manage crushing, screening, processing, and load-out activities to maximize throughput
- Drive plant availability, equipment utilisation, and operational efficiency
- Monitor and control operational costs, including labour, fuel, maintenance, and contractor expenditure
- Ensure compliance with all mining, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Manage contractors and service providers working on site
- Prepare and analyze production reports, budgets, forecasts, and operational performance metrics
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and accountability
