Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor – Printing & Packaging

Inter Industrial Services is currently recruiting an experienced Production Supervisor for a leading and well-established print and packaging company located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on production leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a strong understanding of flexographic print, packaging production operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the afternoon shift team and ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements and customer deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, supervise and motivate the afternoon shift production team
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets
- Monitor production performance, quality and efficiency
- Ensure all staff follow workplace health & safety procedures
- Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks
- Manage workflow, staffing and production priorities
- Oversee the production and workflow of all departments: Printing, Slitting, Bag making and Warehousing to ensure smooth production flow
- Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential




- Complete production reporting and communicate shift performance to management

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar
- Experience within the printing, packaging or manufacturing industry – Flexographic printing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
- A strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
