Join Our Team as our Project Controls Specialist.
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for managing Strike's Integrated Activity Plan (IAP), providing a clear view of activities across the business. This role ensures business priorities, resources, dependencies and risks are effectively coordinated to support the successful delivery of both short-term objectives and long-term strategy. Reporting and partnering closely with key stakeholders, you will also lead project controls functions including scheduling, cost management, risk management and change control to enable effective governance and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Activity Planning
- Develop, maintain and manage Strike's Integrated Activity Plan (IAP), ensuring alignment of activities across Subsurface, Drilling & Completions, Operations and Finance.
- Coordinate resources, dependencies and priorities to support safe and efficient execution of business objectives and long-term strategic goals.
- Facilitate planning reviews and cross-functional collaboration to resolve scheduling, resource and sequencing conflicts, maintaining the IAP as the single source of truth for planning.
- Provide planning insights, analysis and reporting to support management, Executive and Board decision-making.
Scheduling, Cost & Project Controls
- Develop and maintain schedules, forecasts and project controls systems to support operational and project delivery.
- Monitor schedule and cost performance, identifying trends, variances,
risks and opportunities, and support workforce, contractor and equipment resource planning.
- Prepare and maintain performance reporting, dashboards and metrics to provide visibility of project and business outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in project controls processes, systems and tools to enhance reporting, data integrity and business performance.
Risk, Change & Performance Management
- Lead schedule risk analysis, risk reviews and mitigation planning across the integrated business plan.
- Manage change control processes and assess impacts on schedules, resources, costs and business priorities.
- Analyse planning and performance data to identify emerging risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to planning, risk, change management and reporting capabilities that support effective business decision-making.
What You'll Need
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management or related discipline.
- Experience in integrated planning across multiple business functions: ideally energy, resources or oil & gas.
- Strong background in project scheduling, cost forecasting and project controls on major projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.
