About the role The Project & Key Account Manager – Manufacturing is responsible for managing key customer relationships and delivering customer projects from opportunity and quotation through to production and final delivery. Reporting to the CEO, the role works closely with the GM Operations, GM Customer Solutions, Production Manager and Quality Manager, providing a key link between the customer, commercial team and internal manufacturing teams. The position has an approximately 50:50 focus across Project Management & Delivery and Key Account Management, ensuring projects are delivered against agreed scope, cost, quality, timing and customer requirements while developing nominated accounts for repeat and longer-term work.

The role supports projects and key customer accounts across the Groups core and strategic markets, including Defence, Aerospace, Mining, Rail and Industrial.

Key responsibilities

- Manage nominated projects from quotation / PO through to final delivery
- Establish and manage scope, budget, schedule, milestones and customer requirements
- Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Quality, Planning and suppliers to deliver agreed outcomes
- Monitor project cost, margin, quality and delivery against plan
- Identify risks, delays and scope changes early and drive actions to resolution
- Manage nominated key and strategic customer accounts
- Develop strong relationships and a detailed understanding of customer requirements, programs and future demand
- Maintain regular customer contact across quotations, projects, delivery, performance and forward requirements
- Support RFQs, ROMs, quotations and Scopes of Work for nominated projects and accounts
- Provide the link between the Customer, Estimating, Engineering, Operations, Quality and Finance

About you





- 5 years' + experience in project management, key account management, Estimating/Quoting or a similar manufacturing / engineering workplace
- Demonstrated experience delivering customer projects to scope, cost, quality and timing requirements
- Strong key account, customer communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capability
- Commercial understanding of costing, pricing, margin, quotations and manufacturing requirements
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and customer requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and customer priorities simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP / project management systems
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business or similar is desirable
- Experience with ECI M1 and Defence, Aerospace, Mining, Rail or Industrial markets is desirable
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 exposure and ability to obtain Defence security clearance are desirable
