About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Building Automation projects in Australia. This role is responsible for managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle while ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure effective project execution.

In addition to project delivery, the Project Manager will play a key role in supporting pre-sales activities by providing technical consultation, developing Building Automation solutions, defining project scope, preparing cost estimates and proposals, and delivering technical presentations to customers. The role serves as the technical and commercial bridge between the sales, engineering, and project delivery teams, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically robust, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Building Automation projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and project deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Prepare regular project reports and communicate project status.
- Resolve project issues and support effective decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
- Support the sales team during the pre-sales phase by providing technical expertise for Building Automation solutions.
- Review specifications,



tender documents, and project requirements to define project scope and risks.
- Prepare technical clarifications, cost estimates, and resource requirements during bid and proposal stages.
- Participate in bid reviews, contract negotiations, and project handover from sales to execution teams.
- Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and solution demonstrations for customers, consultants, and contractors.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are compliant with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for scope growth, value engineering, and additional Building Automation services.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in project management within Building Automation , Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, or related industries.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, application engineering, or proposal management within Building Automation, BMS, HVAC Controls, or Smart Building industries.
- Strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, energy management, and integrated building technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, tender documents, and customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Experience preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and solution presentations.
- Fluent in English.
- Willing to travel as required.
