We are partnering with a highly respected civil infrastructure contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Project Engineer. As the business continues to expand, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of critical infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of the engineering and delivery functions across complex civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will play a critical role in project planning, stakeholder coordination, subcontractor management, commercial performance and technical problem-solving whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

This position offers exposure to challenging infrastructure works, direct access to experienced leadership and the opportunity to significantly influence project delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the engineering delivery of water, sewer and civil infrastructure projects
- Coordinate project planning,



programming and resource allocation activities
- Develop and manage construction methodologies, project documentation and work packs
- Monitor project performance against budget, programme and contractual requirements
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and key project stakeholders throughout delivery
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, quality requirements and industry standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving engineering challenges
- Drive safety, environmental and quality outcomes across all project activities
- Support contract administration, forecasting, cost control and project reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery partners
- Contribute to project reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are a technically strong and commercially aware civil engineering professional who enjoys taking ownership of project outcomes and thrives in a collaborative project environment. You have a proven track record delivering civil infrastructure projects and possess the leadership capability to coordinate project teams whilst maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

We're interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline




- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within civil construction
- Experience delivering water, sewer, utilities, pipeline or broader civil infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration, project controls and cost management
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent planning, scheduling and project management capabilities
- Sound knowledge of construction safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions in energetic project environments
- A proactive, hands-on approach combined with strong leadership capability

Experience working on utility relocation projects, water infrastructure works or major civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
